How column bars are arranged on PCC bed

Erecting RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) Column entails following four phases of works :-

• Column layout work
• Column reinforcement work
• Column formwork
• Pouring concrete into column

In this construction video tutorial, you will get onsite demonstration for setting up column bars over PCC bed and examining it perfectly with complete details. After PCC bed, column starter is provided with marking. Then, the column bars are arranged.

After digging the pit, cleanse the area properly so that no soil exists there. Then wash all sides of the pit with cement. After that steel wire mesh should be provided. Then framework of steel bars are arranged. The framework is fastened with steel mesh with wire. Then, with the help of plumb bob the verticality of column as well as weather the column formwork is perfect to line are checked. To keep the formwork straight, two bamboos are provided vertically & horizontally and fastened with wire. according to design or measurement.

To examine the verticality of the Plastering , Blockwork, dado work in toilets and to transmit the marks at the time of marking from a certain height to ground level.
