In concrete construction, formwork is generally arranged for various types of structural members mentioned below :-

Formwork for wall
It comprises of the following :-
- Timber Sheeting
- Vertical Posts
- Horizontal Members
- Rackers
- Stakes
- Wedges
Once the formwork of one side is finished, reinforcement is arranged at that place. Then the second side formwork is arranged.
Formwork for column
It includes the following :-
- Side & End Planks.
- Nut And Bolts
Two end and two side planks are connected with the yokes and bolts.
Formwork For Slab & Beams
It comprises of the following :-
- Sole Plates
- Wedges
- Props
- Head tree
- Planks
- Batten
- Ledgers
Beam formwork is supported on head tree.
Slab formwork is supported on battens and joists.
If prop height is in excess of 8 feet, then horizontal braces should be arranged.
Formwork For Stairs
It comprises of the following :-
- Vertical And Inclined Posts
- Inclined Members
- Wooden planks or sheeting
- Stringer
- Riser Planks
